Cat Poetry

I went to lie,
Upon the chair,
But when I did,
Your bag was there.
It’s so unfair,
Your bag being there,
Upon the chair,
And not elsewhere.
Gonna leave some hair,
Upon the chair,
The next time,
Your bag isn’t there.

Famous Paintings Improved by Cats

The other day I was bored and asked my Facebook friends to help me occupy my brain. Very few of them picked up on the Ozzy reference, but I was directed to a post on the Ned Hardy site, which I must say, features some of the most chair falling off hilarious pictures I’ve ever seen. Here’s an example:

I can think of very little that wouldn't be improved by the addition of a large orange tabby cat.

Cuteness should come with a warning…

Come hither...

A fat lump of cuteness
Lies purring on the bed.
With soft underbelly exposed.
Arms and legs outstretched
Like a shameless manipulative
Furry little harlot.
I’m caught in the tractor beam
Of its overwhelming and
Irresistible adorableness.
And my brain explodes
With a pink pop
Into cotton candy.

Kitten’s Ride of Terror

I’m a kitten. Don’t know better.
Wanted to escape the weather.
Now I’m alone and stuck up here.
A tiny little ball of fear.
For my life has just begun.
Should be full of joy and fun.
But instead it’s full of strife.
As I hold on for dear life.
Not knowing what’s to come.
Or what happened to my mom.
Holding on and holding tight,
As I scream with all my might.
A tiny noise. May not go far,
Over the engine of the car.
Can you hear me? Cease to drive!
And I might make it out alive.
Oh please! Please come and get me.
Give me lots of love and pet me.
I swear I’ll be a loving friend.
And I’m never doing this again!

Little Plastic Junkie

I think it’s quite fantastic,
That my kitty cat licks plastic.
Drop a grocery bag, she’ll grab it.
And indulge her plastic habit.
I’m not sure what to make of it.
She’ll lick until away you take it.
Produce bags, they’re her favorite.
But is this normal cat behavior?
Should I be worried? Asking why?
Does it taste good? Make her high?
She swears she’s not addicted.
Can stop at any time she wanted.
But the sad truth is, my kitty,
Is a little plastic junkie.
