Ah, as is often the case,
When one’s mistaken,
The correct quote is the one less taken.
Indeed, kind of like the phrase, “could care less.” It makes no rhetorical sense and should be, “couldn’t care less” but the incorrect one is used so often, it’s become the acceptable one, while the correct one is considered overly pedantic. Kind of like saying, “It’s me” instead of the grammatically correct but pretentious, “It is I.”

I’m sure you do. We’ve all been there at some point my friend. Sometimes you want to scream at life: “You want a piece of me? YOU WANT A PIECE OF ME!?!?!” Or that great line from the movie Network where everyone opens their windows at the prompting of the newsreader and screams “I’m mad as hell, and I’m not gonna take it anymore!”
