Time needed to learn lesson
In general shall
Bare a connection
To the thickness of skull.
Time needed to learn lesson
In general shall
Bare a connection
To the thickness of skull.
I cry,
For in this moment I feel sadness,
Then I cry anew,
For I know,
That in this sadness there is joy too.
For every single thing I’ve lost,
There’s something I’ve gained,
Every pain worked through,
I somehow grew,
Found the lesson that remained.
My journey long and varied,
The baggage carried,
Often weighed me down,
But digging in the dirt,
Healing the hurt,
Leaves me on solid ground,
Ever moving forward,
Though what toward,
I do not know,
But that’s okay,
Living in today,
Is the joy I’ve found,
So I cry,
For in this moment I feel sadness,
Then I cry anew,
For I know,
That in this sadness,
There is joy too.
Circumstances,
Second chances,
Forward,
With no backward glances,
A past,
That actually enhances,
Everything that we have seen,
All the things through which we’ve been,
Now tinged with a velvet sheen,
As we take our turn,
With renewed romances,
Old steps,
Doing brand new dances.
I spent years relishing my desire to fly,
Always keeping the sky above me,
Open just in case,
You reshaped my metaphor,
Showed me more,
Took me to a place,
Where I could understand that learning to land,
Was also key,
That I couldn’t be free,
Without completion and following through,
And I thank You.
